On February 14, 2018, the MBLLC welcomed the BTU Pilot School in Jamaica Plain for the Civics Day on the Hill initiative. Guest speakers included the MBLLC's Rep. Byron Rushing.
There are an estimated 700,000 eligible residents in Massachusetts that are not yet registered to vote. MBLLC priority legislation calling for Automatic Voter Registration would change that and Representative Andy Vargas is leading the charge for its implementation. Representative Vargas sees this as crucial to facilitating greater participation in our democracy for all residents of the Commonwealth.
