On June 14, 2018 the Massachusetts State Senate voted unanimously to include amendment 43-R2 within S2545: An Act to promote a clean energy future. The amendment, filed by Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz, ensures that all people in Massachusetts benefit from solar energy. That will be done through measures such as one requiring solar incentives to address barriers to access. The legislation puts the Commonwealth on a more sustainable and equitable path while we traverse the quickly evolving renewable energy industry.
